How does he do it?!

Unbelievable. How does he do it? Flavio Briatore, former Renault boss and the man at the centre of "Crashgate" had had his lifetime ban from F1 overturned by a French court. Pat Symonds has similarly had his 5 year ban removed and both have received damages (although I'm guessing Flav didn't really need an extra four and a bit thousand quid).

The Mumbling One has also suggested (in his usual, somewhat incoherent and indirect way) that he's been cleared, and may even take Piquet to court for getting him in the poo like this.

But let's just make one thing very clear - the French court said that his lifetime ban was not enforceable. NOT that he was innocent. Purely that the the FIA didn't have the authority to ban him. Big BIG BIG difference.

Renault have already appointed a new team principal, and Flav has said something about wanting to spend time with his family and not being in a hurry to return to F1. At least, I think that's what he said. I never could understand the bloke. Anyway, don't expect anyone to employ him any time soon...

The US presidential election and Brexit must have made me more nervous than I’d realised. It seems I’ve created an underground bunker without realising I was doing it. Still – we’ve all done that at some point, right? No? Ah... Fantasy Formula 1 - Hungary Results

Sometimes there's a wonderful "huh?" moment in F1. Today's was when the lights didn't go to red at the start, but flashed green and yellow. I'm sure all the drivers are briefed, and everyone knows the drill, but they all just sat there - no-one wanted to be the first to move. In the most high-tech sport in the world, it took Charlie Whiting waving at them to make them go. To be honest, it wasn't the most thrilling of races, but Happy Hamilton "The slow boys won't get out of my way! It's not fair! Boohoohooo - I'm telling Charlie!" winning does mean the front end of the points table still looks deliciously tight. What we really need now, as the excitement level ramps up, is.... to take 5 weeks off. Dammit. Still, to keep you occupied, I want you to memorise the points you all scored today. As Donald “I’m really great, everybody says so” Trump is so fond of pointing out, there is a lot of fake news around nowadays. Honest.
