Being a hardy Northerner (snic!) I am of course used to a bit of snow and cold weather. However, even I'm surprised by quite how snowy and chilly it has been of late. The nearest weather station to my place of work was registering -11C... at lunchtime today.
Even down here by the balmy coastal waters of the North West it's already heading for -4C.
Worst of all, at my place of blogging (the teensy room laughingly described as a third bedroom by the Estate Agent, and nestling next to the wafer-thin partition wall next door to the loo) it's currently a totally tropical 12C.
Tip of the week. Don't buy a 100 year old house. They have a small heat-retention problem.
